About My Company

Hi, I'm Naomi. I am an eighth year bilingual educator from Central Mississippi. I founded LanguagelearnedbyNaomi out of a pure passion for helping people. From a very young age, I have enjoyed communicating with and helping others. Becoming an educator allowed me to do just that. I realized early on that languages are the bridges that bind, so learning multiple languages became  very important to me. I began my second language acquisition at four by watching programs such as Sesame Street and Reading Rainbow. These types of programs helped me to realize

 the importance of being interculturally competent and the skillsets that transcend co-cultures. I am a proud product of Mississippi schools, graduating from Hinds Community College, Thee Jackson State University, and the University of Southern Mississippi. I give much credit to these wonderful institutions for shaping me into the person you see before you, as well as my loving family. Last, but certainly not least, I give credit to the my sweet husband Nathan for always encouraging me and helping me to keep in mind my faith (To the all powerful FATHER in heaven) for

 being the reason I choose to serve. While I  am a fluent speaker of both Spanish and English, I also speak conversational Mandarin and am currently learning a bit a Pohnpeian. As an educator, I choose to always lead with love, setting standards for being firm, friendly, and fair. My goal is to always move and inspire others to reach out to their neighbor and break down the barriers that monolingualism often imposes.
